I know, I know. I have been sorely neglecting the 12 Parsec Studios site these past couple of months. Things have been incredibly busy — between comic work, TV work and kids, I just haven’t had time for anything else! Now that the summer is here I hope to get back to doing some really cool Star Wars sketch cards and artwork.
That being said, I’d like to announce that I’m open again for sketch card commissions. For the month of June, I’m doing Star Wars sketch cards at a reduced price for those of you who are visitors here at the website. Full color Star Wars sketch cards are only $20 plus $5 for shipping. That’s a $10 savings off of the normal cost. All you have to do is mention that you saw the post here on the site.

Today was a great day at the Frank & Son Collectible Show. Not only did I get to do a lot of sketching for people, but I also got to spend some time with some truly cool dudes. You see, today a couple members of the LA Area Mandalorian Mercs stopped by to hang out at the 12 Parsec Studios booth. Eliot Sirota and Cosmoe Tayson, two of the group’s leaders, dropped by to chat for a bit, show off their ultra cool helmets and pick up the sketch cards I had drawn for them.
I have to say, these are two of the coolest guys I’ve had the pleasure to meet in a long time and I look forward to getting to work on the upcoming 8 page comic story featuring their characters.
If you ever get a chance to see these guys at a convention or charity event, then you are in for a huge treat. Great group and I’m glad to have had the chance to meet them. Thanks guys!!

Someone I recently met online, and an incredibly funny guy, Jedi Elvis. I’m putting together this sketch card based on the character and I have to say, it is a lot of fun to do. The 2010 Star Wars Day Expo event at the Frank & Son show here in Southern California was a fun time. For those of you who couldn’t be there, multi-talented artist, Denise Vasquez, put together an awesome video of the day. Check it out!

One of the groups I had the pleasure to meet at the 2010 Star Wars Day Expo here in Southern California was the Mandalorian Mercs. These guys are one of the premier Star Wars costuming groups and I have to say they have some of the coolest costumes around. Unlike the 501st Legion, the Mercs create unique personas and costumes based on the Mandalorian warriors of Star Wars. They are a creative bunch.
In response to my new found Mandalorian Mania, I put together a couple of sketch cards based on some of the more impressive members of the group. Check out my sketch cards of Tyrian Kell and Vid Sybot!
